PGIMER 2017 Merit List for B.Sc. Paramedical Courses

METHOD OF SELECTION (MERIT LIST)

 
  1. The selection will be made strictly in order of merit of the candidates in the respective merit lists of entrance test.
     
  2. Overall rank of all the candidates shall be decided based on percentile scores, with a higher percentile score translating into a better rank.
     
  3. An overall merit list based on the percentile obtained by all the candidates appearing in the examination in the theory examination (irrespective of their category) will be prepared. Candidates of various categories who secure percentile in the theory examination, as mentioned against each category, will qualify for admission:

    General/Sponsored/Foreign National

    50th percentile

    SC/ST/OBC & PWD

    45th percentile


     
  4. In the matter of selection, the decision of the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh shall be final.
     
  5. The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the theory paper, carrying 100 marks, to be held for the purpose. The details regarding the composition of theory paper are given under item 5 below. Merit list will be prepared for each category of candidate viz. General, those belonging to Schedule Caste/Tribes, deputed/sponsored and foreign candidates if any Candidates will be selected for each course from the respective list, strictly in order of merit provided they are otherwise eligible.
     
  6. All selection will be made on merit on all India Basis.
     
  7. There will be written Examination and negative marking for wrong answers will be done to the tune of 0.25 marks in theory paper for all courses.
     
  8. The reserved categories are also eligible to compete under the general category seats (open category). Thus, in addition to category wise list, a combined General Category merit list of all the candidates will also be prepared. In exceptional circumstances, if a candidate reports for counseling after his/her turn; he/she will be considered for admission only against the subject available at that time.
 

INTER-SE-MERIT

 
  1. A Candidate who obtained higher percentage marks in 10+2 or its equivalent would rank senior to a candidate who obtained less marks.
     
  2. If marks obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent examination is also the candidate junior in age shall rank senior to the candidate junior in age.
