NTA Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2020)

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2020) is a national level entrance exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducting entrance exams for admission into the Master's (M. Pharm) programs. The GPAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. GPAT 2020 Registration 

Before proceeding for the application form, candidates must read all the instructions carefully and accept the declaration to proceed further.
  • The registration can be done through online mode only.
  • The GPAT application form is released from the 1st of November 2019. 
  • The last Date of  GPAT 2020 registration is 7th December 2019.
  • Candidate needs to enter their qualification details and upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
  • The size of the upload images should be 60 x 90 (≤ 30 kb) (signature) and  140 x 160 (≤ 60 kb) (Photograph).
  • Candidates should fill the form correctly. No changes will be allowed after the last date.
  • Take a print copy of the filled application for further use.

GPAT 2020 Application Procedure

Candidates have to apply for GPAT- 2020 “Online” ONLY by accessing the website The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. There are 4 steps to Apply Online for GPAT 2020 Application Form.
Step 1: Register for Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number.
Step 2: Complete the Application Form.
Step 3: Upload Scanned Images of Candidate Photograph and Candidate Signature
Step 4: Pay Examination Fee by SBI MOPS (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/e-Challan).

GPAT 2020 Admit Card 


GPAT Admit Card: 24th December 2019

The candidate who has registered successfully can download their hall ticket from NTA’s Website. The document carries all the details related to the candidate and examination. Steps to download the same are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website for GPAT.

Step 2: Login with your user ID and password. 

Step 3: Select GPAT 2020 admit card from the menu.

Step 4: Enter your application number and click the “Submit” button.

Step 5: Your GPAT 2020 Admit Card will appear on your computer screen. Check and download the document.

Without admit card, candidates will not be allowed to give the entrance examination. Candidates must check is all the details mentioned on their GPAT 2020 admit card are accurate. Candidates must immediately contact the conducting authority if there is any discrepancy in the admit card. The details that will be mentioned on your GPAT 2020 admit card is as follows:


  • Name of candidate
  • Roll Number 
  • Date of Birth 
  • Name of exam center
  • Address of exam center 
  • Date and time of examination


Instruction for exam

Candidates are advised to read the instructions for an exam that will be printed on the back of their admit card. Candidate must carry their admit card to the exam center on the day of examination along with anyone document that will authenticate their identity, such as Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Adhaar Card, etc.


GPAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Applying candidates must meet the eligibility criteria given below to be eligible for the GPAT 2020 exam. 
Nationality: Candidates should be a citizen of India. 

Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in the exam. 

Qualifying Exam: Candidate should hold the Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates). 

Appearing Candidates: Such candidates are also eligible to apply. 

Not Eligible: B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/Equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply.

GPAT Exam Pattern 2020 

Here, we have mentioned the complete exam pattern. Candidates can check the pattern and prepare accordingly. 
Mode: GPAT is a computer-based online test. 
Duration: It is a 3-hour duration exam (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). 
No. Of Questions: A total of 125 questions will be asked in the exam. 
Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam. 
Language: The medium of the exam will be in the English language. 
Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. 
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

GPAT Result 2020

GPAT result will be declared on the 7th of February 2020. 
The steps for downloading GPAT 2020 scorecard is as follows:
  • Visit the official website. 
  • Login by using your user ID and password. 
  • Click on the link that says “GPAT 2020 scorecard”. You will be redirected to a page where you can download your scorecard. 
  • Enter your roll number. 
  • Your GPAT 2020 scorecard will appear on your computer screen. Download the scorecard and take a printout of it as it will be required during counseling. 
  • Candidates can download their scorecards by entering the user login details. 
Candidates are advised to keep their GPAT results in 2020 until the completion of the admission procedure. 

GPAT Score Card

GPAT scorecard will be valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of result for admission in PG course. 
The GPAT scorecard will also apply for three years scholarship in M. Pharmacy course. 
Candidates can download the electronically generated score card with complete details using their login details.
