CBSE imposes strict dress code for AIPMT re-test, no buttons or shoes
CBSE has imposed a strict dress-code for students appearing for the AIPMT re-test on July 25. They have been advised to in light clothes without big buttons and in open slippers. Rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, pendants and even watches have been banned at the examination centres.
Coming out with strict instructions on the dress code to be observed, it asked the students to appear at the exam centres well in advance for compulsory physical frisking.
"Wear light clothes with half sleeves shirts, T-Shirts, kurta not having big buttons, brooch or any badge, flower and trousers and salwars. Wear open slippers and not the shoes," CBSE said.
The barred items also include mobile phones, bluetooth, earphones, hair band, belts, cap and scarves, it said, warning that failing to observe the instructions would lead to debarring students from appearing in the exam.
The decision to re-conduct the examination came after the Supreme Court directed it re-conduct the test following allegations of large-scale irregularities in the examination held on May 3.
Nearly 6.3 lakh candidates had registered for AIPMT, 2015.
The Board also made it clear that the re-test will be conducted only for "already registered candidates".
CBSE had on June 23 announced re-conduct of AIPMT on July 25, 2015 (Saturday) from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm.
The Admit Cards for appearing in the exam have been hosted on AIPMT website as it has asked students to affix a passport size photograph on the downloaded admit card and get it attested from a gazetted officer or head of the institution.
